The New York Liberty has made a name for themselves. Fans love watching and supporting the team, while the players do what they were born to do.
The Liberty plays in arguably one of the best arenas and makes the experience of enjoying the game that much better.
Arena
The New York Liberty has been calling Madison Square Garden home since the start. Madison Square Garden, or the Garden for short, is the world’s most famous arena and is located in Manhattan.
This has been home to many different events, including the New York Knicks, New York Rangers, New York Liberty, boxing, and college basketball to round out the sporting events. Concerts are held here from musical performers ranging from Taylor Swift to Josh Groban and many other big name acts.
The Garden is currently undergoing a $775-850 million transformation that will make it the world’s most state of the art arena. For the next three seasons, the Liberty will play at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The Prudential Center is only 15 minutes from the Garden by train so fans and supporters won’t be inconvenienced too much.
This will also give the Liberty an opportunity to build their fan base, as they will be able to reach out to different people in this new venue. The Prudential Center is the cornerstone of the newly revitalized downtown area of Newark. Many new additions continue to be made to this area but this venue is the highlight.
The arena is known for events such as hockey, college basketball, professional basketball, concerts, family shows, and special events. This is only a temporary location but one that will still allow the Liberty to showcase their talent and put on a show for the fans.
Fans
The fans are the most important to the New York Liberty. The Liberty uses the energy from the fans to continue going hard and put on a good show. To try and give back to the fans, the Liberty have setup some unique things to make sure fans are taken care of.
The team has setup game alerts so fans will always know when upcoming games are and how to get tickets. There is also a volunteer ticket sales club. Fun meetings and great experiences are the highlights of this club and if you refer a friend you can get one of a kind gifts.
Often times the Liberty mascot, Maddie the dog, can be seen getting the crowd pumped up before and during the game. Maddie, named after the Madison Square Garden, also loves signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.
Merchandise
What better way to show your support than wearing your favorite team? The Liberty has many different items and products for fans to show their support. Many items range from shirts and jerseys to flags and clocks to personalized frames and cups. Much of the merchandise can also be customized to include different names or players names and document this exciting event.
