Gregory Wayne Oden is an American native and a professional basketball player of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Around these days, he is representing Portland Trail Blazers.

When Oden was admitted in his Sarah Scott Middle High School, he has participated in the interschool games while studying there. He has joined Lawrence North High School afterwards. In the 2005, Oden was awarded as the Co-Player of the Year, National Basketball Player of the Year.
Oden has graduated in the 2006 from high school and he has participated in the Indiana Class 4A basketball championships. Fortunately, Oden has won a victory in all of them. He received the title of the 2006 Indiana Mr. Basketball. Greg Oden also had the chance to play in the McDonald’s All-American Team and succeeded to play in the All-American game.
Oden has decided to get enrolled into the Ohio State University. He admitted there to study and to build his career in basketball playing as well. He has joined the university in the 2006-07 session. In the late senior high school season, he underwent the ligament injury.
When he has played for the first time for his college team, he succeeded in averaging 14 points per game, 10 rebounds per game and 5 blocks per game against the Valparaiso. He has also received a million dollar comment in his college life by Steve Kerr as a “Once -in-a-Decade Player”.
In his college time, he was also declared as the Player of the Week on January 29, 2007. It was March 26, 2007 when Greg Oden along with some other players was declared to the Associated Press All-American Team. He has made a record in never losing any home game from the days of his high school playing to the college basketball playing.
Gregory Wayne Oden was then selected by the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the year 2007. Portland Trail Blazers have selected him and he is still playing to represent them even today.
Portland Trail Blazers have selected him as the first overall pick and in the first round. With NBA, Oden has started his professional career and has won several awards and titles.
