Jason Kidd Bio

Jason Frederick Kidd was born in March 23, 1973 in San Francisco, California, so he is an American professional basketball player.

Kidd plays in the NBA for the Dallas Mavericks as No. 2. In 2002 and 2003 he made the New Jersey Nets to lead in two consecutive NBA Finals appearances. Kidd played college basketball at UC Berkeley and Dallas Mavericks drafted him overall second.

He is 6 ft 4 in (1.93 m) tall and his listed weight is 210 lb (95 kg). Of any active player who has not won a championship he has played the most playoff games. Kidd’s brightness is in his on-court versatility which makes him a regular triple-double threat.

Kidd’s Career information is as, he played for College in California, NBA Draft in 1994 / 2nd overall, his Pro career 1994–present and League is NBA. His carrier history includes, he played for Dallas Mavericks from 1994–1996 and again 2008 to present. Kidd also played for Phoenix Suns from 1996–200, and for New Jersey Nets (2001–2008).

The highlights of most prominent achievements and awards of kidd are, he won NBA co-Rookie of the Year (1995), awarded10× NBA All-Star (1996, 1998, 2000–2004, 2007–2008, 2010), also 5× All-NBA First Team (1999–2002, 2004). The other featured achievements includes All-NBA Second Team (2003), 4× All-Defensive First Team (1999, 2001–2002, 2006), 5× All-Defensive Second Team (2000, 2003–2005, 2007), NBA All-Rookie First Team (1995), Skills Challenge Champion (2003) and alsoNaismith Prep Player of the Year (1992). Last but not the least he won two Olympic gold medals with the US national team in 2000 and 2008.

An important milestone in kidd’s history is that On April 2008, he achieved his 100th career triple-double in the final regular-season game with the Dallas Mavericks. In 2008–2009 season, Kidd became the fourth player in NBA history to reach the 10,000 assist milestone. In NBA history he is the only player with 15,000 points, 10,000 assists and 7,000 rebounds.

Kidd won Gold medals in Olympics games while competing for nation team in 2000 Sydney and 2008 Beijing, and also in FIBA Americas Championship he won again Gold medals in 1999 San Juan, 2003 San Juan and also 2007 Las Vegas.

Kidd founded Jason Kidd Foundation. This organization provides funding to children’s medical research and also helps other charities that support the needs and interests of children. Kidd, at Cal and St. Joseph of Notre Dame High School formed Jason Kidd Basketball Scholarship Fund.
