The Bronchos Season
The Bronchos faced Midwestern State in the finals of the NCAA Division II South Central Regional finals and fell 73-66. Foul trouble was the main factor in the loss with 27 fouls called on the Bronchos and three of them fouling out.
Midwestern State went to the line 45 times, making 29 points in free throws alone. This season was still extremely successful despite the season ending loss. Central Oklahoma finished with 30 wins, the most in school history and a 25-game home winning streak.
The Bronchos were also crowned the Lone Star Conference Champions. Head Coach Terry Evans leads the Bronchos but needs Dauntae Williams, Jarrod McDaniel and Tyler Phillips to perform well to win.
About The Team
Head Coach Terry Evans is in his ninth season at Central Oklahoma and has managed to turn the Bronchos program into a perennial powerhouse. In the last three seasons, Evans has had a 74-19 record and has led the Bronchos to six national tournament appearances, five Lone Star Conference North Division titles and one overall league crown.
Evans has had five 20-win seasons within the past six years and has earned the LSC North Division Coach of the Year honors five times, including this season. He was also named the NABC Coach of the Year.

Junior Jarrod McDaniel was named Defensive Player of the Year and his defense has been key to the team’s success. He averaged 3.5 points per game, but his defensive presence was unmatched by anyone.
