Samuel Davis Dalembert, a Haitian Canadian professional basketball player was born on May 10, 1981 in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
He plays center for the NBA’s Sacramento Kings. Dalembert is famous for his excellent shot blocking ability and he averages around two blocks per game this ability make him among the league’s elite in this category.
He began his basket ball carrier by playing in Montreal, Quebec and later played college basketball at Seton Hall University in New Jersey.

Samuel travelled to Haiti following the 2010 Haitian earthquake to help with relief efforts. He also donated $100,000 to UNICEF and since the disaster; he has continued to be involved in the Haitian recovery.
For his contributions to Haitian people Samuel won the 2009-10 J. Walter Kennedy Citizenship Award, and is one of the most philanthropic players in the NBA today.
Samuel has been honored twice with the NBA’s Community Assist Award for ongoing efforts to improve the community once in January 2010 & other in February 2009. He has taken part in six different international missions, including China, Italy, Argentina, France, Lithuania, and Brazil.
Samuel 2010-11 Statistics shows his PPG 7.2, RPG 7.20, APG 0.8, and EFF + 11.71. According to latest press release Samuel had 16 points, 10 rebounds, a steal and two blocks. The Kings have lost seven of their last eight, but Dalembert rolled.
